Yesterday at Walmart we told Bradley he could pick out a birthday present since we didn't give him one on his birthday. He had a difficult time picking one out. He really wanted a toy guitar. But I highly discouraged him and told him that it would get broken quickly. We had to leave because it was getting late and he was very disappointed. He asked me if he could pick something out at the check up (he meant "check out.") I told him he could. So he picked out a $1 Slinky. Kids are so easily satisfied. We even threw in a $3.92 mini Etch-a-Sketch. He was doubly delighted. But after just 2 hours the Slinky looked like this:
Which is exactly why I didn't want to spend $25 on a toy guitar.
