About Me

Me in a bulleted list:
  • Name: Melinda Beth
  • Age: 36
  • Mother of eight children.
  • Wife to a computer geek, but cool, husband.
  • Married for 12 years.
  • My husband and I met online in November 1999 and got married in April 2000. It was a match made in Internet heaven and love at first type.
  • I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (I'm a Mormon).
  • I am the youngest of three children. I have a sister and brother that are seven and nine years older than me.
  • My husband is the oldest of three children. He has two sisters that are 2 and 14 years younger than him.
  • I like roller coasters, but don't ride them nearly enough.
  • I grew up in Southern California, but I'm a native of Western New York. My dad got a job transfer when I was eight years old that brought us to California.
  • I have a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition.
  • We homeschool.
  • I like to sew, but find it hard to find the time to do it.
  • I like cooking and baking with my children and they like cooking and baking with me.
  • I pretend to be an organized person, and I can be at times, but in reality my attempts at organization are failures and I just do my best.
  • I love Japanese food because I love ginger and wasabi. If you ever want to take me out to dinner, take me to a Japanese steakhouse, where they cook in front of you, and I'll be your best friend.
  • I don't like exercising. I consider running up and down the stairs several times a day good exercise.
  • I like to focus on the positive and laugh at my mistakes.
  • I like schedules, but get bored with routines.
  • I am NOT a morning person.
  • I rarely go to bed before midnight.

  1. Dear Melinda, I continue to be in awe of you, more each year. You have a beautiful family. It did sadden me to read that you fear dying in childbirth. Please, please don't let that happen to you. It would be criminal, and an unspeakable loss to the children you have. I really enjoy your blog, loved seeing pictures of your Dad, sorry your Mom is no longer alive. Take care, and love, Eileen (Rob's Mom) evogt1@yahoo.com
