We bought Emily a kid's crossword puzzle book this weekend. She was proud and happy to immediately know the answer to 8 across "You push this in the grocery store." However she was having difficulty spelling cart. She has trouble with placement of vowels. So I shouted out to her younger brother Bradley, "Hey Bradley, how do you spell 'cart'?" Without a moment of hesitation he shouts back, "C-A-R-T, cart." With wide eyes filled with amazement and a tinge of envy, Emily looked at me and quietly said, "He's smart!"
